Appalachian History Meets 50’s Diner

Appalachian History Meets 50’s Diner

Join this destination drive for a trip to the Foxfire Museum in Mountain City, GA. Bring comfortable shoes as we will be traveling back in time on mountain paths to visit the museum's 20 different historic log buildings! Along with artifacts representative of life in the mountains from 1820 to 1940, there are interesting audio recordings that bring the museum to life. You will also learn about the high school students that started this project. Next stop is lunch in Franklin NC at a 1950's theme restaurant with time to explore Main Street. If time permits, we will stop at a brewery in Hayesville, NC before returning to Brasstown Valley Resort.
