From the very start, the four interlinked rings were the brand emblem of Auto Union AG, the second-largest German motor-vehicle manufacturer when the company was formed in the town of Chemnitz in 1932. The rings symbolized the indissoluble character of the entity created by the merger of four motor-vehicle brands from the German state of Saxony: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. This emblem summarized the tradition of car and motorcycle construction in that region, already many decades old, and was also evidence of the companies' determination to continue shaping the future of the motor vehicle. Today, Audi AG makes the same statement with its four-ring emblem: awareness of tradition, orientation toward the future.

Put your tickets in for an afternoon in the captain's seat of a professional Boeing 737-800NG single seat training simulator like those used by flight schools and airlines to train air transport (commercial) pilots. The 737-800 is one of the most common airliners still in service. The simulator was built by Flightdeck Solutions, a Canadian company that makes Boeing, Airbus and other flight simulators for the aviation industry. Taking lessons in a simulator like this can cost $500 or more per hour.

This simulator is owned by one of our club members, Rob Gordon, who has been "flight simming" for many years. It is in his home in Sandy Springs, GA.

Spend an afternoon learning about the flight controls, instruments, and other parts of the flightdeck. Enjoy a "hands-on" experience as you program the flight computers, start the engines, taxi, takeoff, and land the plane.

All the money will go to the Audi Club of Georgia. The winner will have a private session in the simulator.
